Blooming Tuesday

I will be the gladdest thing
Under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one.

  3. Beautiful, Tammy. It’s a somewhat dark, gloomy day here in New Hampshire. It’s lovely to begin my day with a poem that motivates me to appreciate my world a little more deeply. Your photos are beautiful and included several flowers we just don’t see around here. Lovely!

  4. Great pics Tammy! I have a thing for Hydrangeas and I’m loving how it has come out in the picture. Also, the 2nd picture in the 3rd row, is it a Dahlia?

Wow, just amazing. The photos of flowers from my childhood brought back many wonderful memories. Mom’s favorite is the hydrangea which we planted in front of the living room one Mother’s Day. My favorite are the cactus flowers.

Looks like a passion flower. I haven’t had luck with them and the caterpillars like them. Is the photo from your yard?

  7. Beautiful photos, Tammy. They remind of my resolve to draw some flowers a la Josef Frank. Where did the time go?! Perhaps I will draw some of yours, if you don’t mind.

    SWEET!
Love the poem, Love the flowers.
Love my hydrangeas. When I was small, I thought of them as “old lady ” flowers. Now I am an old lady and I still love them!
    Thanks Dear tammy!

Lisa H is right. The red one is a passion flower. We have them in our yard and they attract monarch butterflies. Great shots, Tam… thanks!

  13. Beautiful shots! You’ve inspired me to wander about my own place and take a few shots. We had blooms on some veggies and spices from our CSA here in the Phoenix area a couple of months ago, but now that we’re in in July it’s primarily root veggies, melons, and tomatoes.

  17. The best thing about photography is being able to capture some of the beauty of nature without harming it – and being able to return to it again and again and again. Love your pics, Tammy, and thanks!

  20. Divine, Tammy. It takes strength to touch, and not try to possess. Beauty like this is so transient but utterly breathtaking.

  21. Sunny beautiful photos! I like what kateshrewsday just said. That strength to be with the presence of the flowers and not possess. To simply be with the beauty and perhaps lean down and smell the sweet perfume.
