I hope your Christmas was great. I spent two full days in the kitchen and was really tired afterwards. But now I’m just working through the refrigerator and having a very restful time. Happy 2014!

Now I’m REALLY hungry… I’ll start with a slice of that Frittata… Or, is that a Quiche? Yeah, doesn’t matter, I’ll have some of both.. and a side of the Omelet…
Yeah yeah I know.. too much cholesterol…whatever
And.. do y’all have grits out there in the desert?
If not.. you should get some.. ( Polenta will do ) ─ They say they will protect you from being sucked into one of those weird vortexes you have out there..
    God Bless
    Merry Christmas

The best news for me is that we have a newly opened mill that has local polenta! I just purchased some and it will be a real treat in 2014!

The holidays are filled with food–it brings us together. Tradition has always included high fat foods, but I am loving the new trend of healthier and lighter dishes to fill our table (and our stomachs). Thanks for offering tasty and eye-appealing recipes to keep us on track!

At the school where my youngest son was last year they had a weekly cooking class. I did deviled eggs with the entire fourth-grade. That taught me my lesson.

I’m a little late getting around, but hope you had a wonderful, blessed Christmas and may you enjoy a prosperous, happy, and healthy 2014!

As for the church you saw on my blog…if you grew up in central Indiana, that possibly could have been your church. 😉
