New, Happy Year

It doesn’t roll off the tongue quite as easily as it might if the words were rearranged but that’s because it is unfamiliar and yes, it is new.

Lessons from Mountain Biking

Okay, I was sold a bill of goods. I was told that there was a wide rolly trail from Sunriver, OR to Bend. I saw it as a great opportunity to rent a bike, spend time in a gorgeous outdoor setting with my husband and exercise my wide rolly body.

Inventing a New Year

On the first Sunday of 2011,  I slept until 10:10 am! Amazing. Clearly my body and perhaps my mind were in need of the rest. Ahhh. I felt refreshed and renewed and then, argghhh.  The reality of the clock set in. There was no way that I could get ready and get myself to the 11:00 healing prayer service that I enjoy attending. And by missing it, I was neglecting one of my main areas of focus for the year – to cultivate greater spirituality in my life.
